We dedicate this vision to Parma & Sarojni Arya
who have followed in the footsteps of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar!
Dr. Ambedkar started his social justice career in 1913 during his Ph.D. study at Columbia University. Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (14th Apr 1891 to 6th Dec. 1956) Prof. B. Joshi describes it well. "A Scholar par excellence, an educator who said education is the birthright for all, a Statesman and Nation Builder who brought equality for all..."A Brilliant Lawyer who drafted Indian Constitution. A political Visionary using democracy as a political tool for justice. Founding father of the modern India. A social and Religious Reformer to bring his people to Buddhism for life with Dignity. Tirelessly campaigned against social discrimination of untouchables (Dalits). Born in the family of ‘untouchables’ (Dalits), he nonetheless scaled the highest peak of scholarship, leadership and statesmanship. Earned doctorates in economics from both Columbia University and the London School of Economics. Statues of him are built in towns and cities all over India, and became sites of political struggle. His birthday is celebrated with huge processions, and his tomb in Bombay is a place of pilgrimage.
Inspired by Rama's father and mother Parma & Sarojni Arya
Parma Arya was the first electrical engineer from his small village in India and since the 1970's his family has been supporting and uplifting 1000's of untouchables (Dalits) in India. Inspired by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar who has led the way since 1913. We along with our community produced and presented the Ambedkar Centenary celebration at Columbia and Toronto Universities. In India we work through Ambedkar Center for Justice and Peace (ACJP). (Non-Profit, NGO, HQ.. in PA, USA.. and Mumbai, President Yogesh Varhade, VP Parma Arya. Global Develop Director Rama Arya). Our mission is supported by Philanthropists.
